Well, here we go! Today is May 17th. What's the big deal you ask? Well, for starters, today is my birthday (yay!) 🎈 But this is not really what I want to celebrate... After years of thinking, a countless amount of yarn, and hours spent with my hook in hand, today is also Julivia's birthday! 🎈
I finally took the plunge and decided to create a brand that represents what I am looking for when searching for a new crochet project, or a new item for my kiddos. Created from the combination of their names, Julivia is providing crochet patterns and creations inspired by simplicity, joy, and timelessness. I aim at making modern creations, without the use of fancy or difficult techniques. Just simple stitches and simple designs. Minimalism is what guides my designs: just the right amount of detail, nothing more. This allows everyone (even the rookie!) to make them too!
I believe that simple doesn't have to mean boring! That's why I started by creating a collection of animals: the Minimals. What is cuter than little ones with tiny animal ears on their head, right?
I am only starting to share my ideas, so many more creations and designs will see the day in 2021. I am also exploring for new fibers so that I can offer my products in responsibly sourced materials (organic or recycled fibers), so stay tuned! 🌱
